Memberships

Healthcare on retainer.

Annual access for Whistler residents who'd rather not weigh up cost or wait times every time something goes wrong. Three tiers — paid annually, capped by visit count, with priority booking and a discount on anything beyond the cap.

Who It's For

Whistler residents who'd rather just call.

Memberships are designed for households living in Whistler year-round. They remove the small but real friction of deciding whether to call when something happens — no checking insurance terms, no estimating the visit cost, no debating whether it's "worth" the ER. You call, and we come.

If you're visiting Whistler on holiday, a pay-as-you-go visit is almost always the better fit — most travel insurance fully reimburses the cost.

The Mechanics

How memberships work.

1

Sign up annually

A single annual payment covers the whole year from the date you start. No monthly billing.

2

Call when you need us

Members are flagged in our booking system, so calls and online bookings go to the front of the queue.

3

Visits draw from your cap

Each in-home visit counts as one. Phone triage stays free and doesn't draw from the cap.

4

Beyond the cap — 25% off

If your household goes over the annual cap, every visit beyond is billed at 25% below the standard rate.

Worth Knowing

Important notes.

Membership terms

A few things to bear in mind:

  • Memberships are annual. Twelve months from the date you sign up. Visits don't roll over into the following year.
  • The Family and Premium tiers cover one household. That means everyone living at your primary Whistler address, including children and houseguests staying with you. Members in separate households need separate plans.
  • Memberships don't override clinical scope. The same scope as any visit applies — no prescriptions, no invasive procedures, no replacement for 911. Always call 911 for life-threatening emergencies.
  • Insurance still works the same way. Reports are issued for every visit; if your private health insurance reimburses in-home health consulting, the paperwork is identical to a pay-as-you-go visit.
  • Upgrades and downgrades are available mid-year. Pro-rated based on visits used so far. Get in touch and we'll figure out the fair number.

Common Questions

Membership questions.

Is a membership worth it for me?

It depends less on the maths and more on how you want to think about it. The per-visit price under a membership is roughly the same as a pay-as-you-go visit — memberships aren't designed to save you money on each call. They're designed to remove the decision: when someone in your household is hurt or unwell, there's no cost-versus-benefit calculation to do. You just call. That's the value.

What counts as a "visit"?

Any in-home assessment by Whistler Acuity counts as one visit, regardless of length or how much first aid is involved. If we assess two people at the same address during the same trip, that's two visits drawn from your cap. Phone triage is always free and never draws from the cap.

What happens after I use up my cap?

Nothing stops — additional visits are just billed at 25% below the standard rate for the rest of your membership year. You also keep your priority booking status. At your next annual renewal, your cap resets.

Can I share my Family plan with houseguests?

Yes, within reason. Family and Premium tiers cover the household at your primary Whistler address, and that includes guests staying with you. If you have a long-term tenant or a separate household visiting frequently, they'd need their own plan.

Is there a minimum commitment?

Yes — memberships are annual. We don't offer monthly billing. If you're not sure whether a membership is right for you, start with a pay-as-you-go visit and see how it fits. You can convert to a membership at any point and we'll credit the visit cost against your first year.
